Is A3: Still Alive still alive?

Ladies and gentlemen, I found a "Diablo", or better, a "Lost Ark" crypto game. A3: Still Alive. It's been around since December 2020, but I missed it completely. And if it were not for "Ni No Kuni", I wouldn't have looked into it. But as I saw, it's a Netmarble game, which is doing a pretty good job on "Ni No Kuni" and already did a fantastic job with non-crypto games. Netmarble developed Lineage 2 Revolution in 2015 and released it to the public that same year. As of 2019, L2R became one of the market's highest-grossing mobile games, exceeding 924 million dollars in 11 months since its release. Currently, Netmarble continues to update and bring new content to L2R. I looked into Lineage then but wasn't a fan of this auto-grind-styled game. And I wouldn't say I like loot boxes, except they present it as gacha to me - Which I had in one of the most impressive mobile games I've ever played: Seven Deadly Sins.

But let's talk about A3: Still Alive! Set in an apocalyptic fantasy world of swords and sorcery, A3: Still Alive is a cross-genre mobile and desktop experience that pairs the enormous and living worlds of Open-World ARPGs with the extreme combat of Battle Royale. Players must be vigilant in an always-open Player vs Player (PvP) environment as they fight against enemies with intense hack & slash action and prove their mettle in various PvP and Player vs Environment (PvE) modes.

I'm diving into this game because winter is coming. And there is something that always happens on cold, cosy winter days: I want to play Diablo! And since I'm focussing on having a P2E aspect when I take time to play a game, it is evident that I have to check out this one. But how easy was it till now, the few days of experience? On a crypto game that is already two years out?

I created an archer and began the first quests. Then a quest showed up, telling me to express level up to level 200. I smashed that button. I went up to level 200 and tried to continue the quests, but everything around was too hard. Zero damage. One-hit wonder.

So I thought maybe I had missed something. I started a new character, this time a mage. I played till I reached level 10, saw the same level up to 200 quest, smashed that button again, and here we go: The same issue. Well, usually, just getting to Level 200 without having proper armoury and weapons doesn't help a lot. So I saw, in the ingame mail, there are legendary weapons and clothes. And summon tickets for linked souls and other "pets". I changed back into the archer account and equipped all the stuff. Yes, at least the region quests work.

Then I saw all the regions, the codex, magic stones, skills, and everything else that must be levelled up, upgraded, enhanced, and so on. You have to go back and recuperate at some point. Because the main quest still fails, I'm just not powerful enough to progress.

In the meantime, I'm learning the gameplay and everything related to the game. I use a balanced character for this: The scholar. I don't want to rush this one, but use it to learn the game mechanics. So I will grind that one, at least to the point where I know what I'm doing.

As far as I know, the "Express Level Bonus" for free is just this week. I'm not sure how bad I'm doing if I get the boost on all chars except one, but it's what I can suggest with actual knowledge of mine. Everything PlayToEarn will follow as soon I can see through, and I also made the first few cents. There are not many content creators around this game - The best of them stopped streaming and talking about it around seven months ago. DYOR, and then join me :-)

I'm on Server EU-6. And if you want to see my scholar no-comment play through, here it is:
